Tanga Stone is an unusual, yet attractive floor alternative that is rarely seen in homes. These stones are a striking solution particularly for the garden pathway, patios and balconies as they offer a daring contrast to outside elements. These stones can also be used superbly for wall cladding around the fireplace, bathroom, feature point or living area.

The natural colours that appear on this unique stone are white and light to dark orange with beautiful colourful patterns and lines covering the surface. They are also found in a charcoal colour; the perfect solution for mosaic designs around your pool, on tables, bathroom walls or outside pathways.

Tanga stone layout designs are endless ranging from the natural rough slates in all shapes and sizes, to cut slates in various sizes offering a retro design or in one particular size bringing in a classy facade.

We supply Tanga stones in rough slates straight from the quarry or cut into tiles. For the “Rough Cut” pattern shown above rough slates are cut to fit on site.

Otherwise, our standard cuts are: 40x40cm, 40x20cm, and 20x20cm.
Custom sizes for large orders are usually possible. Just let us know your specifications and we can advise accordingly.

We supply Tanga stones in two broad colours: white & charcoal.
– White Tanga: commonly tan, brown, yellow, and off-white. These slates are softer than the charcoal slates. Suitable for outside areas, around swimming pools, walkways, and wall cladding (facing). Not suitable for wet interiors.
– Charcoal Tanga: charcoal to black colour with tan veins. These slates are quite hard and dense. Also suitable for outside areas and feature walls.

In their natural state the Tanga stones have a textured finish. The charcoal stones are typically smoother than the white, similar to a mat finish. Note the slates come in various thicknesses (1.5 to 3cm).
